-Newborns are easiest to photograph between 5-14 days old while they are still bendy, squishy and super sleepy. Usually this is before baby acne sets in as well. We can still do newborn portraits of older newborns, but if possible I try to get them in before 2 weeks.

-Your baby's health and safety are my number one priority.

-Do I have props? Wait until you see the studio. I definitely have props! I have backdrops, floordrops, wraps, hair accessories, bonnets, hats, baskets, blankets, and shelves full of all kinds of props! After I find out what your color preferences are and any ideas from the website you love, I will set out several sets ready to go when you arrive for your session. Of course you are always welcome to wait until you arrive to see all the goodies to choose from. But no need to bring anything other than baby! I've got the props and setups covered.

-For cake smash sessions I do have some birthday items in the studio but I do not carry custom themed setups (there are just too many out there!). What most parents do is start thinking about the birthday party theme months in advance and then bring any decorations you have for the party. I can build a setup around that to create a beautiful themed cake smash set. We can talk more about this as we start planning the first birthday session. 

-I do have some packages that allow for siblings to be in some of the setups and I try to do those in the beginning of the session. After we are done with the sibling shots I ask that someone be available to take the older siblings home, or to a nearby park. Newborn sessions can last up to three hours which can get very boring to older children. This also allows us to better focus on the newborn portraits.
